Chelsea, a visual artist, creates watercolour and gouache paintings that magnify the beauty in fleeting moments of ordinary life. She explores slowing down through compositions of urban landscapes, nature and the sky. What most walk past become her focal points.
The theme of slowing down and examining the miniscule also apply to language and emotions, through her portraiture paintings. The people she paints tell stories of her Filipino culture and connection.
Whilst completing a Diploma of Visual Arts, she secured grants to deliver solo exhibitions with local councils: Brimbank and Melton. She has participated in group shows such as the Linden Postcard show and in regional Victoria at the Old Auction house in Kyneton. Her artworks are also held in private collections around the world.
Her art is her interpretation of the world, and she invites viewers to explore different lenses to see life through.
